The Commanding Officer of HMS Collingwood, Captain Andy Jordan RN, invited Sam's Haven to join him in the wardroom for their annual presentation of cheques to their chosen charities.

HMS Collingwood partake in a number of charitable events throughout the year, including opening their gates to the public every June and inviting everyone to join them in a family fun packed day full of entertainment.  Money raised from these events goes to a number of Naval charities that they permanantly support.  However, they also select a number of other local worthy causes each year to benefit from their fund raising.

Sam's Haven have had a stall at the open day for the last two years but were totally surprised to learn that they had been chosen as one of Collingwood's chosen charities for this year. Chairman Paul, was delighted to receive a cheque for £2000 and to meet the Captian and his staff.

We would like to thank everyone involved in the selection of Sam's Haven and also all those who raised the funds over the past year.
